Aluminum Iaido

Resin wrap handle on an 6061 aluminum iaido blade with brass tsuba and painted saya.

This modern iaido blade is made from 6061 aircraft aluminum that has been crafted to resemble a traditional katana, with fuller and etched hamon, making it beautiful and very light in hand. The saya is painted to coordinate with the color choice of the handle. The handle is a traditional Katatemaki, or battle wrap, design made from a high strength resin.
