Potatoes or Bloodshed
At the historic site of Killua Castle in Ireland—where legend says Sir Walter Raleigh planted the first potato—a group of tourists clashes with local martial artists training with wooden swords (bokkens). What begins as a tense standoff rooted in centuries-old historical wounds between Irish locals and British visitors quickly escalates into a comical but skillful mock battle. Through witty banter, cultural jabs, and slapstick moments, the skirmish shifts from confrontation to camaraderie. In the end, both sides share laughter and reflection, reminded that history’s pain can sometimes yield to humor and humility.

- Participants must be 18 years old. 15-18 years olds can participate with parental consent and a minimum height of 4 feet, 6 inches tall. PARENTAL CONSENT FORMS must be filled out and submitted prior to the event.
